The questions we are asked most often on the phone, answered as plainly as we can. For anything not here, call us.
- What work do you do?
The whole of a grave: the substructure it stands on, the wall and kerb around it, the cover stones over it and the headstone that carries the name. Besides that, we make the drinking fountains endowed in someone’s name.
- Where do you work?
In Isparta. The workshop is in Yeni Sanayi Sitesi; measuring and fitting happen at the cemetery where the work will stand.
- Should I choose marble or granite?
We use both, often together. Marble is pale and softer-looking; granite is darker, harder and holds up better against staining. Which suits depends on where the plot is, on the work around it and on the budget — we decide together when the measurements are taken.
- How do I decide what the headstone should say?
Most headstones carry a name, the dates of birth and death, and a short text — a prayer, a couplet or a few lines of verse.
How much of it fits depends on the size of the stone, which is something we talk through once the measurements are taken. Because an inscription cannot be changed once cut, the text goes to you for approval exactly as it will be set.
- Can I call about an existing grave?
Yes. Call about maintenance, renewal, or rebuilding the substructure under a grave whose ground has failed. Work like that has to be seen in place first.
- How do I get a price?
A price depends on the size of the plot, the stone chosen and the scope of the work. The soundest way is to call and describe what you want made; where it is needed, we come and look before talking figures.
