What we make
Every part of a grave
Four of these stand in the cemetery. The fifth, a drinking fountain endowed in someone’s name, stands outside it.

Every photograph on this site is of our own work. None of it is stock imagery bought in for a website.
How it goes
The order a grave is built in
Knowing which stages a job passes through is easier before it starts than after something has to be corrected.
We meet at the cemetery
Measurements are taken where the work will stand. The state of the ground, the limits of the plot and the distance to the neighbouring graves are all read there.
We settle the stone and the words
Marble or granite, which colour and which form — decided together. The text for the headstone is agreed at this stage too.
We build the substructure
The ground the grave will stand on is prepared, the side walls are built and the bed for the cover stones is set.
We cut it in the workshop
The stone is cut to measurement, its surface prepared, and the approved text cut into the headstone.
We fit it in place
The pieces are assembled at the graveside. Because the substructure went in first, the stone seats straight onto it.
